Sales Manager Denmark/Norway
Do you have a sales background with experience in the retail sector and/or in the toy, DIY or children product industries? This could be your chance to join a well-established and fast-growing international toy company aiming at strengthening its position in the Nordics.
EPOCH D’ENFANCE is the French subsidiary of the Japanese family-owned group EPOCH. Since 2012, we have been selling the well-known toy brands Sylvanian Families, Aquabeads and EPOCH Games across Europe. We have been present in the Nordics for a decade with operations in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. We are currently looking for a Sales Manager to maintain and develop our portfolio in Denmark, while also managing key customers in Norway (approximately 20% of the time).
Your mission
You will report directly to the Overseas Sales Director based in France (Greater Paris area) and be part of an international commercial team covering Europe (35 staff members and agents). You will work closely with our marketing, sales administration and logistics teams in France as well as with your colleagues in Finland and Sweden. Our activity in Denmark is supported by a local agent responsible for visiting independent shops. In Norway, our business development is largely outsourced to a local wholesaler.
In this context, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing your client portfolio with a focus on key accounts, primarily large retail groups. This includes client visits, planning and implementing sales activities (e.g. campaigns) as well as pricing, product and range development.
- Monitoring local business performance and reporting back to headquarters. You will be responsible for tracking KPIs and providing strategic input on local market trends, competitors, and consumer behavior. Your insights will help shape commercial strategies for the Nordics.
- Managing our local agent in Denmark and ensuring that their objectives align with our strategy.
- Promoting our brands and products to key stakeholders at local and international trade fairs in the Nordic region - and occasionally in other European countries.
About you
- You have experience and knowledge of the retail sector and/or the toy, DIY, children’s products, or similar industries, with insight into the Danish - and ideally Norwegian -markets.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in sales and proven negotiation skills.
- You have a good understanding of budget and P&L management, as well as of basic marketing principles.
- You are fluent in Danish and English. Norwegian is a plus. Experience working in a multicultural environment or familiarity with French work culture is also an asset.
- You are autonomous, self-motivated, organised with good analytical skills.

The role requires travel 2–3 days a week, mainly short-distance trips, with occasional visits to our French headquarters and participation in international fairs. When not traveling, you will work from home.
