International Women's Day event March 6, 2025
On the 6th of March, we organised our annual event in honor of International Women's Day at the beautiful 360 Law Firm offices. This year, we focused on: “Challenging genderbias – why are some professions still largely defined by gender?”. We aimed at setting up an inspiring event centered on gender, diversity and representation. A big thank you to Mette Gade and 360 Law Firm for hosting and providing a welcoming space for this important conversation. Thank you as well to our speakers and to M. Ambassador, Christophe Parisot, for engaging us in an opening speech about the importance of the topic and emphasising that we remain quite far from the goals we have set for gender equality.
Our panelists shared powerful insights from their diverse experiences navigating sectors with skewed gender representation, as well as challenging our thoughts on gender and inclusion. Alexis Philippon, HR Director at L'Oréal Nordics, discussed his personal journey and L'Oréal’s commitment to gender diversity at all levels. Birthe Højlund Balesini, Head of the Digital Workplace Business Line for Nordics at ATOS, shared how female mentorship helped guide her path in IT but also her reflections on her experience in a male dominated field, which not at all negative but with an awareness of looking for role models similar to herself. Lastly, Sofie Skovbo Gottlieb, DEI Lead at Copenhagen Business School, expanded the conversation beyond the binary and introduced us to the topic of intersectionality. She emphasised the importance of fighting for human rights and inclusion for all.
We’re very grateful to everyone who attended and participated in the success of this event. These discussions are crucial in raising awareness about gender inequality and moving toward a more inclusive workplace. We remain hopeful that, in the coming years, we’ll see more equal representation across all sectors.
